BIFF Honors Her Excellency Barr. Patience Ama Zoufa Douye Diri and others

The just concluded Bayelsa International Film Festival has honoured the wife of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Her Excellency Barr. Patience Ama Zoufa Douye Diri.

The award which was received by her representative Ms Annette David-West was in recognition of her upscaling event management and decoration in Bayelsa State.

According to the organizers, the wife of the governor has contributed to the development of the common man in the state and has empowered lot of young unemployed youths in the state.

Thought not present herself but according to Miss Annette David-West, “Her Excellency is so honoured to receive this award from the first ever Bayelsa International Film Festival. She sent her goodwill and appreciation to the organizers of this ground breaking event in the state as she’s unavoidably absent because of the bar association conference holding at Abuja she said”

The festival which ended in grand style at the Asters event centre in Yenagoa also honoured other prestigious personalities like the former speaker of Bayelsa State house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah, Prof. Savoiur Agoro, Pastor Reuben Wilson, and Chief Lambert Ototo among others.

The festival also honoured veteran filmmakers like Amb. Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, Director Martins, Destiny Etiko, etc.
